1. Purpose of This Guide
This artefact proves that all employees have completed the official PDPC e-Learning course, covering PDPA fundamentals such as key terms, obligations, and data protection principles.
Under PDPA Data Protection Essentials Clause 5.1.1, this requirement is mandatory.
Think of it as the foundation stone: before assessments, simulations, or drills, staff must first understand what PDPA is and what it expects of them.
2. What You Will Submit
You will upload records showing completion of the PDPC e-Learning course by employees.
Acceptable evidence includes:
-
Completion certificates for individual staff, or
-
A consolidated completion record or dashboard screenshot
-
Showing multiple employees have completed the course
3. How to Collect / Obtain This Evidence

Access your organisation’s training or completion records
-

-
A list showing employee names and completion status
-
Step 3: Capture evidence
Take a screenshot or export records that clearly show:
-
Employee names (or identifiers)
-
Course title (PDPC e-Learning / PDPA course)
-
Completion status or date
You may redact:

-
Recommended naming format:
YourCompanyName_PDPC_ELearning_Completion_YYYY-MM-DD.pdfExample:
AcmeClinic_PDPC_ELearning_Completion_2025-07-01.pdf
5. What “Good” Looks Like
Strong PDPC e-Learning evidence includes:
-
Visible Element: PDPC platform branding or course title
Why it matters: Confirms the training is from the official source. -
Visible Element: Multiple employees listed
Why it matters: Shows organisation-wide training, not one-off learning. -
Visible Element: Completion status or dates
Why it matters: Proves the training has actually been completed.
If an assessor can quickly see who completed the PDPC e-Learning and when, you’re done.
6. Tips from Sir Stonk 🗡️
-
This artefact pairs naturally with PDPA e-Assessment Results (Clause 5.1.2) — training first, testing second.
-
If you onboard new staff, keep this record updated. Auditors love current lists.
